A serial entrepreneur with two successful exits, Rowland has been on the faculty of the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science (artificial intelligence), is an advisor to the Martin Trust Center for M.I.T. Entrepreneurship, mentors CEOs of global early-stage firms, and provides consulting services to clients in Fortune 500 companies. He has published peer-reviewed papers on artificial intelligence and the success of women-owned small businesses as well as published work in the Harvard Business Review on the topic of the freelance economy.
